PHOENIX — Police have found Queen Creek High School to be safe after investigating reports of gunshots on campus on Friday morning.
The Queen Creek Police Department searched the school near Ocotillo and Signal Butte roads after a parent called to report hearing gunshots around 6:45 a.m.
Police responded immediately, and the school went into lockdown, with school buses rerouting as a precaution.

Although officers are still investigating, Queen Creek Police cleared the campus as of 7:30 a.m. and the school lockdown has been lifted.
Police said there is no credible information indicating that shots were fired or there was an active threat.
