BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — An investigation has been launched into a three-alarm fire that broke out at a home in the Bronx late Thursday night.

The fire was reported at 11:51 p.m. at 2166 Crotona Avenue between East 181st and 182nd Street.

Fire officials say the fire spread from a private dwelling to an alleyway and was escalated to a third alarm just past midnight.

192 Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene. The fire was under control at around 1:22 a.m.

Officials reported that no one was injured and that an investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

The FDNY encourages nearby residents to keep their windows closed.
