Plane crashes near Crystal Airport in Brooklyn Park

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS is on the scene of an apparent plane crash near Crystal Airport.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer was in Brooklyn Park, close to Crystal Airport, when they saw a plume of smoke.

Investigating, the photographer saw first responders surrounding what appeared to be a small plane that had crashed close to Southbrook Park, which lies less than a mile away from the Crystal Airport.

Details on what caused the crash are unknown at this time, as are any injuries or deaths resulting from it.
