BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (KTTC) – According to KARE 11, authorities say two people were killed in a small plane crash near Crystal Airport on Saturday.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reportedly said that the aircraft crashed in a residential area not long after it departed the airport around noon.
KARE 11 said that the city of Brooklyn Park provided a press release, stating that first responders had found the aircraft, which had reportedly crashed and caught fire in Southbrook Park near 62nd Avenue North and Florida Avenue North.

The FAA reportedly said that there were two people on board the plane, but that neither survived the crash. However, no one on the ground was said to be injured and no property was damaged in the incident.
