Tickets previously purchased for the original April 20 concert will be honored on the new date.
The singer-songwriter received treatment for stage 1 lung cancer in December 2025. At that time, Manilow, 82, had to reschedule the first wave of announced tour dates. Following a consultation with his doctor in late February, he had to reschedule those same concerts but maintained new dates scheduled for later in the spring, including Albany. Then earlier this month, those dates were also postponed on doctor’s orders.
“Deep down, I wanted to go back — but my body knew what my heart didn’t want to admit: I wasn’t ready,” Manilow wrote in a statement announcing the first round of rescheduled concerts.
The concert is part of Manilow’s farewell tour. In addition to celebrating the singer-songwriter’s career, the performance will also honor one local music educator with an award valued at $10,000 through Manilow’s philanthropic endeavor, Manilow Music Project.
