SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – At approximately 5:00 a.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a commercial structure fire at the Punj Truck Stop and Indian Restaurant, located at 22263 U.S. Highway 59 in Queen City, Texas.
Upon arrival, approximately 25 percent of the structure was fully engulfed in flames. Local and volunteer fire departments responded and began fire suppression efforts.
At this time, two deceased individuals have not yet been officially identified, and their names will be released once identification is confirmed and next of kin have been notified.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office is on scene and actively investigating. This remains an ongoing investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
