Man, 26, stabbed to death in brawl outside Brooklyn bar

A 26-year-old man was stabbed to death outside a Brooklyn bar early Sunday in a clash involving at least two other people, police said.

Amare Simmons was stabbed in the abdomen and slashed in the face and a 28-year-old man was slashed in the left arm outside Marco’s on Broadway in Bushwick about 1:55 a.m.

Medics rushed both men from the bar on Broadway near Lawton St. to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where Simmons died, cops said. The survivor is in stable condition.

Police recovered a knife at the scene and took two people of interest into custody, authorities said. No charges were immediately filed.

It was not immediately clear if the wounded survivor was one of the persons of interest.

Simmons lived at the Bellevue Men’s Shelter In Kips Bay, according to police.

Marco’s on Broadway boasts it has a “patio open late” and offers “cold beer, frozen cocktails and natural wine.” A call to the bar was not immediately returned.
