MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – The Kansas baseball team won the Sunflower Showdown series 3-0 after a weather delay during game three.
The Jayhawks have won the last six matchups against the Wildcats and started the series on Friday with an 18-6 win.
Senior Dariel Osoria hit a homer to left field in the sixth inning, ending the game with four runs and six RBI.
Game one also saw two more homeruns from senior Josh Dykhoff and junior Cade Baldridge. Senior Shintaro Inoue responded with a homer for the Wildcats as well.
Game two ended 10-8 with dominant hitting from both teams. Junior Dee Kennedy knocked two out of the park for K-State and Dariel Osoria responded with a homer immediately after.
KU beat K-State 9-7 in the final game after waiting out a rain delay.
