SDNY COURT, Apri
l27 –  In the U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
on September 13, a series of
detention or bond proceeding
were held by Magistrate Stuart
D. Aaron on defendants charges
in the same indictment with
crack sales on 194th Street in
the Bronx. Inner City Press
was there, the only media in
the Mag Court.

In each case the
Assistant US Attorney asked
for detention, noting they
were presumption cases. But
the safety valve might be
available, defense counsel
countered.

The case is
assigned to new SDNY District
Judge Jennifer L. Rochon,
before whom a proceeding has
been scheduled for September
22. (There is no time set yet,
the AUSA said, it is just a
place holder).

 Magistrate
Judge Aaron remarked that it
shows difference between the
Federal and New York State
systems, with Adjourned in
Contemplation of Dismissal
dispositions for crack sales.

Jump cut all the
way to April 27, 2026, when a
guilty plea by the lead named
defendant was moved at
counsel’s request from April
29 to May 12 at 12:30 pm.

The overall case
is US v. Boyd, et al.,
22-cr-468 (Rochon).
