The event marks the debut of the Turiya Sings Award, created by Brooklyn Peace Center to honor artists and cultural visionaries who embody the late Turiyasangitananda Alice Coltrane’s legacy of interreligious and intercultural peacebuilding through the arts.

The award recognizes creative practice as sacred work, rooted in love, liberation and the harmonizing of humanity.

Now in its fourth year, Jazz Night serves as a cornerstone fundraiser for Brooklyn Peace Center, a nonprofit dedicated to peacebuilding, arts, plus cultural programming.

Proceeds from the event will support year-round initiatives that nurture creativity, community and culture.
