Noteworthy: Dent, a right-hander who has committed to Nevada, shined inside the circle — once in relief and once as a starter — as the Thunderbirds won a pair of Citrus Belt League games to clinch at least a share of the championship. Dent tossed 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out three, in Yucaipa’s 6-4 victory over Cajon. She scattered six hits, walked none and fanned 10 batters to lead the Thunderbirds to a 7-0 win over Citrus Valley. Dent entered the week with a 13-3 record and one save, a 1.94 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 94 innings.
