NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage Wednesday of a man wanted in a string of armed robberies targeting food vendors in Brooklyn.

At approximately 3:49 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, a 29-year-old food vendor was working near East 18th Street and Church Avenue in Prospect Park South when the man approached him, took merchandise, and refused to pay.

When the vendor confronted the individual, the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and made a verbal threat before fleeing eastbound on Church Avenue with the stolen goods.

Over a month later, on Friday, Oct. 17, at approximately 4:34 a.m., a 23-year-old food vendor was targeted in front of 1451 Nostrand Ave. in Flatbush, where the suspect displayed a firearm and stole approximately $80 in cash from the victim before fleeing southbound on Nostrand Avenue.
