MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Three people were arrested in connection with drug crime Tuesday after Riley County police officers conducted a traffic stop on the southwest side of Manhattan, officials said.
The traffic stop took place around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday near Irene Circle and Davis Drive, where two men and a woman were arrested and subsequently booked into the Riley County Jail.
Officials said the traffic stop was conducted in connection with an ongoing investigation into drug distribution in Riley County

Following the traffic stop, a search warrant was executed in the 800 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan.
The three people who were arrested and booked into the Riley County Jail were identified as:
• Brittanie Michele Vaughn, 31, of Manhattan, who was booked into jail in connection with distribution of opiate-opium-narcotic-certain stimulant; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Vaughn was issued a total bond of $41,000 and remained in the Riley County Jail on Wednesday.
• JC Hunt, 53, of Grandview Plaza, who was booked into jail in connection with distribution of opiate-opium-narcotic-certain stimulant; possession of opiate-opium-narcotic-certain stimulant; and possession of marijuana. Hunt was issued a total bond of $30,000 and remained Wednesday in the Riley County Jail.
• Jimmie Dale Dodson III, 25, of Manhattan, who was booked into jail in connection with possession of opiate-opium-narcotic-certain stimulant; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dodson was released from jail after posting a $4,000 bond.
