MORRIS HEIGHTS, Bronx (PIX11) — A 12-year-old girl was raped in the Bronx on Sunday night, according to the NYPD.
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. near West 174th Street and Montgomery Avenue.

Responding officers observed the girl being sexually assaulted by the suspect, police say. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
Jose Ramos, 34, was arrested at the scene and charged with rape and endangering the welfare of a child, police said.
It was unclear if the victim and the suspect knew each other.
Ramos’ arraignment was pending on Wednesday.
