The 2025 New York City Marathon is almost upon us, but the brand activations have already begun.

Many of the major players will go all-out with events for the World Major Marathon, extending the concept of marathon weekend well into the week.

Below, Footwear News has gathered events open to the public from Nike, Adidas, New Balance and more.

Women’s Shakeout Run

Time: 6:30 p.m.
Day: Wednesday
Address: 22 Grand Street (Brooklyn Running Co., Williamsburg)
Girls Run NYC will host a 5K run for women only.

Marathon Marinara: Pasta Night

Time: 7 p.m.
Day: Thursday
Address: 222 Grand Street (Brooklyn Run Co.)
Adidas will join with Brooklyn Run. Co. for a 2 to 3 mile shakeout run followed by a pasta dinner.

Shakeout Run

Time: 8 a.m.
Day: Saturday
Address: 565 5th Avenue (Adidas Flagship)
A 3-mile run will go through Central Park with ARNYC captains and coaches.

Time: 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This marathon after party will include free drinks for the first 100 guests, a DJ, recovery stations, medal engraving and shirt giveaways. Attendees must be 21 years or older.

Marathon Week Kickoff

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Influencers and Hoka ambassadors @hellahgood and @lucyge0rgia will lead a 3-mile run with giveaways for the first 150 attendees and the opportunity to test shoes.

Trick or Trot Shakeout Run With Fleet Feet NYC

Free customization with an NYC Marathon design by artist Nick Cook will be available, along with onsite demos of the Rocket X 3 and Mach X 3.

Free People Movement Run Day

Hosted by FP Movement NYC Studio, a 5K run will be followed by giveaways, wear trials, drinks and snacks.

Race Day Prep Zone

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Materials for creating posters will be available, along with pre-race fuel.

Medal Hub Monday

AFRC Poetry Slam Shakeout

A shakeout run will be followed by an open mic with free food and drinks.

Endorphins Fuel Bar Opening Night Party

Time: 7 p.m.
Day: Thursday

The fuel bar will be open from Friday through Monday with coffee, fuel, race kit customization and New Balance x Endorphins shirts, but first comes a party to christen the space. Shakeout runs will also start here on Friday and Saturday morning.

New Balance Run House

New Balance’s run hub will include a café and bar, customization and hair stations, lounge with Hyperice recovery tools and photo staging.

“Runners Aren’t Normal” Party

Mental Athletic x Homerun NYC issue 4 Launch and Pop-Up

Race 212

On at The Lot Radio

Time: 10:30 p.m.

Lot Radio, the trendy livestreamed radio station housed in a shipping container, will host a 3-mile run followed by a party with smash burgers, hydration and a hat giveaway.

Post-Race Recovery Party

Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (On Lafayette), 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (On Williamsburg)

The Early Bird

An unsanctioned race will run from Salomon’s SoHo store to 127 North 6th in Brooklyn and back and will be followed by hydration, bagels and giveaways.
