With a career spanning over 30 years, the Dave Matthews Band is one of the most influential bands in rock history. The group’s infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting them into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades.

The band has sold more than 25 million tickets since its inception, making them the second-largest ticket-seller in history.

Their Bama Works Fund, established in 1999, has raised more than $65 million for humanitarian and environmental initiatives. Dave Matthews’ ongoing partnership with the Nature Conservancy has resulted in a few million trees being planted since 2020.

Queens-based entrepreneur and dad John Sanchez is an avid music lover. He told QNS that he’s excited about this summer’s upcoming concert series.

“I would love to see The Black Crowes sing, ‘She Talks to Angels,’ live or Zeds Dead perform ‘Eyes on Fire,’ this summer,” he said. “I also think it’s great that local businesses benefit from the increased foot traffic.”

As Vice President of BQE Media and Marketing, Sanchez helps lead a network of community newspapers and is also focused on building and supporting local businesses.

“At the core of everything I do is a commitment to community —whether that’s helping a local business grow, building meaningful partnerships or creating spaces where people can connect,” he added.

The stadium is located in the heart of a bustling, vibrant neighborhood, known for its trendy shops and great cafés and restaurants. Fans can grab a pre-show bite or beverage from a wide choice of eateries, and for those who prefer to enjoy their meal inside the gates, the stadium will once again offer a wide range of vendors with tasty local options.

“The stadium has been and will continue to be an economic engine for Forest Hills and Queens, in general,” Queens Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Grech said. “Its positive effect on local community — on restaurants and businesses – when it comes to actual revenue, is enormous.”

He added, “With most shows starting early in the evening and ending not too late, restaurants benefit — both before and after concerts.”

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Jr. weighed in as well, telling QNS, “One of the greatest music venues in the country, Forest Hills Stadium is a cultural and artistic heartbeat of New York City. This year’s fantastic concert series lineup proves that. But arguably, the stadium’s most important contribution to Queens is the immense economic activity it generates in Forest Hills and beyond. From hiring hundreds of Queens residents to attracting thousands of customers to area shops, bars and restaurants, the stadium continues to deliver for the World’s Borough.”

He added, “I look forward to what will surely be another successful concert season in 2026.”

Rob MacKay, Deputy Director of Community at the Queens Economic Development Corporation and Director of the Queens Tourism Council, echoed that sentiment.

“Forest Hills Stadium never ceases to amaze! As this year’s lineup demonstrates, the concerts keep getting better and better, while the crowd experiences keep getting funner and funner. I’m so proud that it all takes place in Queens.”

Concert-goers should have the AXS mobile app downloaded, with tickets loaded before entering the venue.

The stadium’s popular Speakeasy Suites offer concierge services – perfect for large and small groups seeking a unique concert experience.

Forest Hills Stadium is easily accessible via mass transit. Concert-goers can take the Long Island Rail Road from Penn Station or the E, F, M and R subway trains.
