NEW YORK (PIX11) — Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani was hospitalized and is in stable condition, according to his two-time biographer.
Giuliani appeared on his podcast on Friday night, talking about current topics like the war with Iran for more than thirty minutes.
But by late Sunday, his condition turned critical, and he had to be hospitalized. He acknowledged to his 80-thousand followers that he was battling some sort of health condition.
But no word on what has put the 81-year-old current podcaster in the hospital.
President Trump on Truth Social also called him a “true warrior, and the best mayor in the history of New York City by far.”
Giuliani served two terms as mayor of New York City, most notably leading the city through the 9-11 attacks, earning him the nickname “America’s Mayor.”
It was his tough talking take down of organized crime in the 80’s when he was a federal prosecutor who also took on Wall Street corruption that brought him to fame and launched his political career.

In recent years, he became President Trump’s personal lawyer, supporting the false claims of election interference, for which he was disbarred.
He was also sued and lost a lawsuit to two Georgia election workers, resulting in a nearly $150 million judgment.
Giuliani also ran a campaign for senator, losing to Hillary Clinton, as well as an unsuccessful bid for president.
The reason behind the hospitalization remains unknown. Giuliani was treated in the hospital back in September for injuries he sustained in a car crash in New Hampshire.
