It’s the first Monday in May, and you know what that means: It’s officially time for the 2026 Met Gala. Celebrities across film, TV, music, sports, and beyond have decamped from their homes in the Hollywood Hills for a temporary stay at the Mark Hotel. Per the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this year’s theme is “Costume Art,” coupled with a Costume Institute exhibition featuring 400 objects that connect the worlds of fashion and fine art. Appropriately the Met Gala offered up “Fashion Is Art” as a dress code, leaving the rest of the details for invitees and their team of high-end stylists to flesh out.
Naturally, Vogue likes to hold the VIP guest list hostage until the moment attendees start marching up the steps to the Met.
