WHITESTOWN, N.Y. — A New York City man was arrested for damaging property and harassing staff at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
According to Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to the facility in Whitesboro on Oct. 24 for a criminal mischief complaint.
During the investigation, officials discovered that inmate Daishaughn Hodge had damaged property, prompting the case to be handed over to the Oneida County Criminal Investigations Unit.
On Oct. 28, investigators charged Hodge, 25, with criminal mischief, a felony, due to the cost of the damage.
He was also charged with two counts of aggravated harassment of an employee by an incarcerated individual, a felony, for splashing two corrections officers with urine and toilet bowl contents on Sept. 19.
