Showers and thunderstorms are possible through the evening, mainly northwest of the Capital Region. Expect mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the low-to-mid 50s.
Look for gray, cool, damp weather Wednesday with widespread rain moving in late in the morning and continuing through the afternoon and early evening hours. Highs will range from the mid 50s to the mid 60s.
The end of the week looks quieter with temperatures running about 10 degrees below normal.

5. Inside the cruise ship at the center of the hantavirus outbreak
The nearly 150 people aboard a cruise ship off the coast of Cape Verde have been mostly confined to their cabins, according to footage obtained by The Associated Press, after three passengers died and at least four others were left ill in a suspected hantavirus outbreak.
6. U.S. says ceasefire with Iran holding despite attacks in Strait of Hormuz and against UAE
The Iran war risked reigniting after the U.S. tried to force open the Strait of Hormuz for commercial shipping, though a ceasefire seemed to be holding Tuesday even after the United Arab Emirates said Iran fired missiles and drones at it.
