This week brought with it the announcement of Foreign Tongues, the 25th studio album from The Rolling Stones that the legendary English rock band will release on July 10.
The official details came down Tuesday, alongside the premiere of two songs — lead single “In the Stars” and the bluesy “Rough and Twisted”:
Following Tuesday’s big reveal, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood held a special event at Weylin in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, hosted by Conan O’Brien.

In front of an intimate crowd of invited guests and select media, the quartet discussed this new chapter in the Stones’ career and some behind-the-scenes stories of the making of Foreign Tongues.
The follow-up to 2023’s acclaimed Hackney Diamonds, this one again links Jagger, Richards, Wood and their colleagues with super-producer Andrew Watt, who helmed the knobs for that ’23 record.

Notably, it was at this event that a newly reimagined version of the Stones’ iconic tongue logo was revealed, as well.

Those in the building also heard three more songs from the album, including “Mr. Charm” and “Jealous Lover,” in addition to getting a sneak peek at the upcoming video for “In the Stars.”
As previously detailed, special guests on the album include Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith of The Cure and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, alongside Jagger, Richards, Wood and regular collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan. — and also a special appearance from late Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watt in the form of one of his final recording sessions before his death in 2021.
