STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The NYPD raided an apartment in New Dorp where officers found drugs, brass knuckles and a bullet, according to authorities.
Olin Muldrow, 35, was arrested after officers armed with a search warrant swarmed his apartment on Mill Road near Tysens Lane on April 15 around 10 a.m., according to the criminal complaint based on an investigation by Narcotics Borough Staten Island.
The criminal complaint alleges that in connection with Muldrow’s arrest, officers found a small plastic zipper bag containing cocaine powder and a clear straw on the defendant’s person.
Officers also found drugs, paraphernalia and weapons inside a drawer in the living room. The criminal complaint alleges that confiscated oxycodone included six round green pills stamped “M15” and one round pink tablet marked “K56.” An oval white pill of combined oxycodone and amphetamine was labeled “107.”
A total of 21 strips of the addiction-treatment drug Suboxone were recovered.
Officers detected cocaine residue on five clear straws and a scale, according to the criminal complaint. Glassine envelopes that typically are used in the drug trade were recovered.
Officers also allegedly seized a set of brass knuckles and a bullet suitable for use in a .22 caliber long gun.
The criminal complaint alleges that Muldrow does not have a license to carry or possess a firearm in the City or State of New York.
The defendant has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance and an administrative code violation of unlawful possession of ammunition, according to the criminal complaint.
Muldrow has pleaded not guilty to all charges and has been released with non-monetary conditions. He is due back in state Criminal Court in St. George on June 11, according to public records.
An attorney for the defendant did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
