Bowlin Travel Centers announced in a press release that the store will close May 31, 2026.
The ice cream shop was located off Interstate 10 in Picacho, conveniently on the drive between Tucson and Phoenix.
The company said the decision was made after they were unable to come to terms with the Arizona State Land Department.
“We encourage our loyal patrons to come in and share their favorite memories during our final days of operation,” the company said.
Bowlin Travel Centers also said that a new food option would open soon in the plaza where the Dairy Queen was located. The announcement is expected soon.
