BROOKLYN — Route 6 was closed in both directions Sunday afternoon after a crash involving a motorcycle caused life-threatening injuries, but it reopened hours later, police say.
Connecticut State Police said troopers from Troop D were called to Route 6 in Brooklyn at 2:14 p.m. for a report of a crash between a car and a motorcycle.
Police said life-threatening injuries were reported at the scene and one person was transported to a hospital by a Life Star medical helicopter.
Route 6 was closed while the accident reconstruction team headed to the scene at 3:20 p.m., police said.
The state road reopened at 8:06 p.m., police said.
