It’s not often that you can take shopping inspiration from a monarch, but Queen Letizia is not your regular queen, she’s a cool queen. Yesterday, the Spanish royal delivered yet another winning look, one which perfectly paired an It girl staple—the leather midi skirt—with the prettiest little slingbacks.

The luxurious A-line skirt in black leather (one of her favorite pieces) is the Hugo Boss Leshina design, which features a built-in belt that cinches it at the waist. Letizia tucked a white blouse with little silver leaf-shaped accents into her skirt. And to continue the black-and-white scheme, she slipped on the loveliest pair of black slingbacks from Aquazzura—a popular brand she has reached for multiple times over the years.

A petal-like bow adorns the ankle strap of each pointy kitten heel. In luxurious suede, the Bow Tie Pump 50 style retails for a hot $980 and comes in a variety of colors, including red, baby pink, and white.

The queen even stuck to her color scheme with her jewelry: link earrings studded with tiny white and black diamonds (which she has worn on several occasions since 2008). She carried Giorgio Armani’s Chevron clutch in black velvet—with silver hardware to match her earrings—and her chic, natural gray-streaked hair was the cherry on top.

Letizia wore the posh look to attend the “El Barco De Vapor” and “Gran Angular” Youth Literature Awards at the Real Casa de Correos (the Royal House of the Post Office) in Madrid.

Just another day for Spain’s most fashionable royal.
