Queen Camilla was a picture of elegance on Wednesday as she stepped out alongside King Charles for the State Opening of Parliament.
The royal, 78, wore a beautiful embroidered white dress by Fiona Clare featuring a Queen Anne neckline, full-length sleeves and a beautiful train. She added a modern touch with her silver heels, but it wouldn’t be a State Opening of Parliament outfit without an heirloom jewel.

Camilla’s glittering diadem
Camilla opted for the glorious George IV State Diadem, a crown dating back to 1820 when the eponymous king commissioned it from jeweller Rundell, Bridge & Rundell.

It features an incredible 1,333 diamonds, including a yellow four-carat brilliant set in the centre alongside two rows of pearls. It also features a subtle nod to England, Scotland and Ireland with each country’s national emblems – roses, thistles and shamrocks, respectively.

The royal previously wore the glittering diadem for the State Opening of Parliament in 2023 and 2024.
Elevating her jewellery suite to the next level on this occasion, Camilla paired the diadem with the late Queen Elizabeth’s 28-diamond Coronation Necklace.
Queen Camilla’s sparkling headwear
Queen Camilla never misses when it comes to her tiara moments – and she has worn such an array from the royal vault. 2025 was a year of many tiara outings, largely owing to the number of State Banquets that she attended. But there was also a fabulous diadem sighting in March. Keep scrolling to see proof…

Earlier this year, the Queen wore the Belgian Sapphire Tiara again during the Nigerian State Banquet at Windsor Castle. She wore the earrings to match, as well as the same Fiona Clare dress as worn on Wednesday.
