The New York City Economic Development Corporation is bringing its lineup of community events back to the Brooklyn Army Terminal this summer. The agency will transform the waterfront campus into a hub of music, dance and entertainment throughout the season.

Running from June through October, the free events aim to celebrate Brooklyn’s diversity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, with activities for residents and visitors of all ages. Event highlights include a curated waterfront market featuring local artisans and small businesses, a food festival packed with local eats and rooftop film screenings.

According to Jeanny Pak, the series marks an important milestone for NYCEDC, which has managed the terminal for four decades.

“Summer at the Brooklyn Army Terminal reflects what makes New York City special — bringing people together in public spaces that celebrate culture, community, and opportunity,” Pak said. “We’re proud to expand our offerings, welcoming more visitors to experience the historic campus, waterfront, and open spaces.”

The full summer event lineup includes:

June 4: Community Market + Local Makers, 2-6 p.m.
June 7: Ferry Food Fest 2026, 1-7 p.m.
June 13: Rooftop Films Screening, 7-10 p.m.
July 9: Sunset Sip and Stroll Market, 4-8 p.m.
July 12: Latin Flavors and Culture, 1-7 p.m.
July 23: Salsa Night, 4-8 p.m.
July 26: Wellness on the Waterfront, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Aug. 6: Cinema Night and Happy Hour, 4-8 p.m.
Aug. 9: Community and Family Day, 2-6 p.m.
Aug. 27: Asian Culture Day, 2-6 p.m.
Aug. 30: End of Summer Event, 2-6 p.m.
Sept. 19: Rooftop Films Screening, 7-10 p.m.
Sept. 27: Hispanic Heritage Waterfront Festival, 2-8 p.m.
Oct. 31: Día de los Muertos Celebration, 2-7 p.m.

All events are free and open to the public, though some may require an RSVP.

As NYCEDC celebrates its 40th anniversary at BAT, representatives including Pak emphasized the organization’s ongoing commitment to transforming the historic site into an inclusive space where history and culture can be celebrated.

“As a historic anchor on the Sunset Park waterfront, the BAT campus continues to welcome New Yorkers from all five boroughs to gather, connect, and engage,” Pak said.
