SHANDAKEN, N.Y. — A 17-year-old Connecticut girl died of injuries suffered in an ATV accident on Garfield Road, Shandaken police said Thursday.
At about 10:34 a.m. Sunday, May 10, the unidentified 17-year-old ATV driver lost control of the vehicle and was ejected, police said.
The teen was taken to HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, where she was pronounced dead.
Members of the Phoenicia Fire District, Shandaken Ambulance, state police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office assisted Shandaken police, according to a press statement.
