DUMBO — ACTRESS MICHELLE WILLIAMS and director Thomas Kail are reviving Eugene O’Neill’s “Anna Christie” at St. Ann’s Warehouse, with performances beginning Nov. 25, reports Vogue.

The artists say they were drawn to the 1921 play by its modern resonance on women’s autonomy and resilience. The Brooklyn-based couple sees the century-old drama as timely – an exploration of belonging, honesty and survival.

With Tom Sturridge and Brian d’Arcy James joining the cast, the stylized production highlights O’Neill’s language and emotional depth, marking Williams’s return to the stage following her Tony-nominated performance in 2016’s “Blackbird.”
