CHAUMONT, New York (WWNY) – State police say a 21-year-old Carthage-area man died after an extensive search in Chaumont Bay for a man reported falling out of a small aluminum boat Friday.
He’s identified as Ryan Cloe and police say he was the only person in the boat.
Cloe was found by the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team and pronounced deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a life jacket, police say.
The search Friday began around 3:30pm and included boats, drones and a helicopter.
