Among the Hoboken + Jersey City news highlights: Lance Bass and Joey Fatone enjoyed a lil dance on the waterfront in Hoboken; the Macy’s July 4th fireworks will be on both the Hudson + East Rivers; Governor Sherrill released a new NJ Transit app; and Southwest Fest returns to Hoboken.

– Macy’s Fourth of July fireworks will return to the Hudson River in 2026, bringing viewing opportunities to Hoboken and Jersey City waterfront areas (The Hoboken Girl).
– Vis-à-Vis Café + Bistro has opened in Jersey City, serving French-inspired dishes, pastries, coffee, and cocktails (The Hoboken Girl).
– Pilates Addiction is opening a new Hoboken studio focused on reformer-based Pilates classes and strength training workouts (The Hoboken Girl).
– A Hudson County man injured after being struck by a delivery robot in Jersey City plans to sue, arguing sidewalks should not be used as testing grounds for autonomous technology (NJ.com).
– Hoboken teen and bird advocate Otys Train competed in the World Series of Birding with his teammates Jack Trojan and Zade Pacetti, where they counted as many bird species as possible in 24 hours (NPR.org).

– Firefighters rescued three adults and four children from a burning Jersey City home (NJ.com).
– Governor Sherrill released NJ TRANSIT’s Rapid Action Plan, which includes a redesigned mobile app, real-time GPS tracking, cleaner vehicles and stations, accessibility upgrades, and expanded public safety measures (State of New Jersey).
– Jersey City’s longtime Elio’s Bakery + Deli has permanently closed after 46 years on West Side Avenue (The Hoboken Girl).
