USA TODAY 10Best has launched public voting to determine the nation’s top 10 indoor shopping malls.

An expert panel identified 20 finalists, based on the variety of stores, dining and entertainment options, accessibility, and distinctive events — and only one New Jersey mall made the cut.

The panel described American Dream in East Rutherford as much more than an average shopping mall.
