The Gist

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continued their run of New York City date nights on May 16.

They stepped out for a friend’s wedding in Brooklyn, and Kelce proved to be the ultimate gentleman.

As they left Honey’s cocktail bar after the sun had gone down, the NFL tight end lent his bride-to-be his pinstripe blazer to keep her warm as they walked to their car.

Another spring night, another outing in New York City for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce—this time, a friend’s wedding, just a few short weeks ahead of their own this summer. For the occasion, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, as ever, was a gentleman, lending his blazer to his soon-to-be wife as they departed the venue.

On May 16, the engaged couple appeared out for the second night out in a row, this time at Honey’s cocktail bar in Brooklyn. The couple arrived when it was still light out, the singer in a $2,280 shimmering gold Maria Lucia Hohan Allar silk dress, complete with a cutout waist. She kept the gold theme going by carrying a $1,795 Aquazzura Ari clutch and wearing $1,635 Aquazzura Tequila sandals and accessorizing with a suite of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewels, specifically the 22K gold and opal diamond suite by Darlene De Sadle. Per Vogue, it’s the first time she’s worn the entire set in public, which was auctioned in 2011 and hasn’t been seen in full since. The suite includes chandelier earrings, a ring, and a bracelet, with the opal no doubt a nod to Kelce’s October birthstone.

By the time the two left Honey’s, however, it had turned dark, and no doubt chillier. As such—in a chivalrous moment not to be missed—Kelce lent his black Fear of God pinstripe blazer to Swift to wear, holding her hand as they exited the venue and headed to their car.

On May 15, the pair went out again, this time to dinner at Or’esh restaurant, a Mediterranean eatery. Swift wore a Dôen mididress with a romantic blue and green floral print, a flowing skirt, and short puff sleeves, while Kelce coordinated with his bride in a shirt from Marni that also included floral prints and patches.

Speaking on the May 6 episode of the “New Heights” podcast he co-hosts with brother Jason Kelce, the Chiefs tight end admitted, “Yeah, I’m trying to act like more of a man when I’m around her,” referring, of course, to Swift.

More specifically, he added that he has been “eating foods I haven’t tried before,” and Jason agreed. “I feel like Taylor has expanded your [palate],” he said, to which Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce added that her brother-in-law has been “more adventurous with food” since beginning his relationship with Swift in 2023.

He may be “more of a man,” but he’s also a gentleman, too. During their debut awards show appearance at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March, Swift couldn’t help but gush over her man onstage as she accepted an award for Pop Album of the Year for The Life of a Showgirl.

“I think that album probably also feels very happy and confident and free because that’s the way that I get to feel every single day of my life, because of my fiancé, who’s here too,” she said as he mouthed “I love you” to her from the crowd.
