NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Waking up early to move your car can be a hassle, especially when trying to compete for parking spots with other New Yorkers doing the same thing.
Fortunately, Alternate Side Parking rules will be suspended for a handful of days for the remainder of May.

Alternate Side Parking will be suspended on the following days:
Drivers are reminded that parking within 15 feet of either side of a fire hydrant is illegal and that painted curbs at hydrant locations do not indicate where they can park.
Cars parked near fire hydrants will be ticketed.
