Today, the sun comes out and temperatures rise into the 80s. Highs will be near 90 degrees with a noticable uptick in humidity.

A few isolated popup showers are possible after sunset this evening. Drier conditions settle in for the overnight and Tuesday morning. Another hot day with highs in the upper 80s, and scattered showers with afternoon thunderstorms. A few storms could be on the strong side and we will keep a close eye to this.

The next opportunity for widespread showers and thunderstorms arrives with a cold front moving into the region on Wednesday. The bulk of the precipitation looks to be from midday through the afternoon, and the severe threat looks marginal. Highs Wednesday range from the upper 60s to mid 70s. High temperatures fall back into the 60s in the wake of the front for the second half of the week.
