BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — While Brooklyn is a borough full of diverse food and cultures, with hidden gems for all food enthusiasts, some restaurants have been caught violating sanitary regulations.
To ensure that restaurants comply with food safety rules, the NYC Health Department conducts unannounced inspections at least once a year.
List: Manhattan restaurants closed in 2026 for sanitary violations
Grades are typically assigned after inspection, but restaurants with repeated violations may face closure.
Since the start of spring, the following 11 restaurants across Brooklyn have been closed down for violating regulations, according to ABCEats, the City’s restaurant inspection lookup tool:
