NEW YORK, NY – The Manhattan Comedy School is officially taking its popular Social Media Boot Camp worldwide.
For the first time ever, veteran digital media executive and comedy industry insider Eric Hanson will offer the Social Media Boot Camp live on Zoom, allowing comedians, performers, creators, influencers, and entrepreneurs from around the world to participate remotely.
The international online edition of the class begins June 28.
Previously offered only in-person in New York City, the workshop has become known for giving performers real-world strategies on how to grow audiences, build a brand, monetize content, and navigate today’s constantly evolving digital landscape.
Eric Hanson brings more than two decades of experience working in television, comedy, digital media, and content strategy. Throughout his career, he has worked behind the scenes with comedians, television personalities, comedy clubs, and major media brands, helping talent understand how to use platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X to expand their reach and create opportunities.
“This class was originally created to help comedians understand the business side of social media,” said Hanson. “What started as a small in-person workshop quickly grew because performers realized nobody was really teaching this information in a direct, practical way. Opening it up internationally on Zoom now allows creators everywhere to access the same strategies.”
The Social Media Boot Camp focuses on:
• Building a personal brand
• Understanding algorithms and audience behavior
• Creating content that gets attention
• Monetization strategies
• Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook growth tactics
• Analytics and platform optimization
• Repurposing content across multiple platforms
• Social media strategy specifically for comedians and performers
The course is designed for both beginners and experienced creators looking to strengthen their online presence and better understand how digital media can impact careers in entertainment.

Manhattan Comedy School offers much more than just training in comedy. Our classes help people do something that they didn’t think was possible. That is to get up in front of an audience and actually make strangers laugh out loud.
We then provide opportunities for our students to continue to perform and hone their new found skill after the class ends. We give people confidence and make them feel better about themselves. Many people walk off our stage after their first performance with tears of joy and a powerful deep sense of accomplishment. They have done something that many of them were terrified of, and yet they faced their fears and conquered them.
