BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — Four men are accused of operating a drug delivery service out of the Bronx, prosecutors announced Tuesday.

Around 10 kilograms, or 22 pounds, with a street value of $250,000, of cocaine was recovered during approved searches of an apartment and three vehicles on Sunday, according to officials.

Ermes Jimenez is accused of supplying cocaine to drivers who delivered the drugs, operating out of his luxury apartment at 5 Lincoln Avenue, investigators said.

Jimenez allegedly carried bags from his apartment to vehicles that drove into the building’s driveway on a weekly basis, according to officials.

Those drugs were then delivered to locations in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn, according to investigators.

“This investigation successfully put the brakes on a drug delivery service that used a luxury apartment building in the Bronx as a drive-thru for cocaine pickups, said Bridget G. Brennan, NYC Special Narcotics Prosecutor. “The narcotics organization capitalized on the waterfront location with easy access to Manhattan and major highways.”

On Sunday, at around 12:15 a.m. Jimenez and a delivery driver, Eddy Ruiz-de La Rosa, were taken into custody near the suspect’s apartment.

Investigators conducted a search warrant at Jimenez’s apartment at 6 a.m. and recovered over 1,000 vials of cocaine, a gun, loaded magazines, boxes of ammunition, a bulletproof vest, and around $200,000 cash.

In addition to Ruiz-De La Rosa, two other delivery drivers, Jonathan Rivera and Jordan Machuca, were taken into custody, according to investigators.

A search warrant was conducted on all vehicles, and investigators found cocaine, a gun and thousands of dollars in cash altogether.

All four men are facing drug possession charges, with Jimenez and Rivera also facing charges of gun possession.
