High temperatures gave way to severe thunderstorms in the New York City area on Wednesday, May 20, triggering flash flooding across in Queens, officials confirmed.
Footage filmed by MD Golam Murshed shows motorists and bicyclists navigating the intense flooding on Jamaica Avenue in Queens.
“Who has seen rain like this in New York City?” Murshed wrote on Facebook.
