MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Police arrested two men and three teens after they allegedly attacked and stole several items from a 14-year-old in Manhattan.
The Riley County Police Department (RCPD) said the incident occurred shortly after 9:15 p.m. on May 19 in the 1000 block of Colorado Street in Manhattan. A group of five people allegedly battered a 14-year-old and stole several of his items, including a cell phone, during the reported encounter. Law enforcement confirmed the 14-year-old knew the suspects involved in incident.
Police later arrested two Manhattan residents in connection to the incident: an 18-year-old and a 27-year-old. The RCPD said both individuals are confined in the Riley County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, aggravated battery and contributing to child misconduct.
The RCPD also arrested three Manhattan teens in connection to the alleged attack on various charges. Police transported the three teens, two 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old, to the Geary County Juvenile Detention Center.
