POINT PLEASANT BEACH — Seastreak Ferry service will make its debut in Point Pleasant Beach this summer, marking the first time the seasonal route will directly connect the borough to New York City by sea, Mayor Doug Vitale announced during Tuesday night’s council meeting.

Known for its slogan, “the most civilized way to get there,” Seastreak is a privately operated high-speed ferry service that connects several coastal New Jersey communities with Manhattan.

The round-trip service will operate between the Seastreak Ferry Dock at 49 Inlet Drive in Point Pleasant Beach and the Battery Maritime Building at Slip 5, 10 South St., in Manhattan.

Point Pleasant Beach service will operate on Fridays and Sundays from June 19 through Aug. 9, and again from Sept. 4 through Sept. 7.

“I want to thank Carol Vaccaro and the Chamber of Commerce, who, along with Bill Cleary, have been working on this for quite a while,” Vitale said. “I think it’s going to be a boon for tourism here in Point Pleasant Beach. We’ll see a lot more visitors coming down, and I think that’s great.”

Reservations are required before departures and are now available for the 2026 season. Passengers are advised to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before departure for check-in.

One-way adult fares are $69, while round-trip tickets are $99. Discounted fares are available for children ages 3 to 12, and infants under 3 ride free with a paying adult. Additional fees apply for bicycles and scooters, including electric models.

Passengers may bring food and nonalcoholic beverages onboard, though only soft-sided coolers are permitted.
