A thousand New Yorkers will get to see a World Cup match in New Jersey for a fraction of the cost most ticket-holders have paid — but they have to win them first.

On May 21, Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced $50 World Cup tickets exclusively for New Yorkers. The city will use an online lottery system — opening Monday — to decide who gets them.
