Police in Brooklyn Park are looking for four suspects who abandoned a car during a police chase Saturday morning, a vehicle believed to have been stolen in Minneapolis.
Brooklyn Park Police said one of their officers initiated a traffic stop at 4:50 a.m. for speeding on Edinbrook Terrace. The vehicle did not pull over and, during the chase, left the roadway in the 8600 block of Zane Avenue North.
Police said four people from inside the vehicle ran out and into a wooded area. Despite a search for the suspects, Brooklyn Park Police said none were located.
Brooklyn Park Police said the vehicle was stolen, reportedly from an armed carjacking that occurred in Minneapolis. A firearm believed to have been used in the carjacking was found inside the vehicle.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
