A woman was hospitalized after she was struck by a rain-soaked falling tree branch that also damaged a parked car in the Bronx, police said Tuesday.
The branch snapped off the tree after being saturated with water from the Memorial Day weekend rains, officials said.
The 49-year-old victim was struck by the falling branch near E. 176th St. and Clay Ave. in Morris Heights about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
Medics took her to St. Barnabas Hospital with minor injuries to her right leg, right arm and head.
An unoccupied parked vehicle was also struck by the heavy branch and damaged, cops said.
