The Broadway musical “The Book of Mormon” will restart performances at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Wednesday night after a fire at the venue shut down production earlier this month.
The fire broke out in an electrical room of the theater on May 4, according to officials. FDNY Assistant Chief David Simms said at the time that the fire caused “substantial damage” to the theater.
The show was originally set to start again last week.
“The Book of Mormon” is celebrating its 15-year anniversary this year. The show will hold a “Magical Mormon Mystery Week,” featuring original cast members, during shows from June 9 through June 14.
