Winners have been named for the 15th Annual Off Broadway Alliance Awards, with Mexodus and Cold War Choir Practice earning the top honors of Best Musical and Play, respectively. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee took Best Revival, with Can I Be Frank? winning Best Solo Performance and immersive Phantom of the Opera revival Masquerade winning Best Unique Theatrical Experience.
This year’s nominees and winners were chosen from the full 2025-2026 Off-Broadway season, but the group also chose to bestow some non-competitive honors. That previously announced group includes Legend of Off-Broadway Awards for actors Peter Friedman and Christine Pedi; posthumous induction to the Off-Broadway Hall of Fame for press agent David Gersten, playwright-actor Andy Halliday, and producer-manager Paul Libin; and a Friend of Off-Broadway Award for BroadwayWorld journalist Richard Ridge.
This year’s winners will be celebrated with a June 16 ceremony at Sardi’s.
The Off Broadway Alliance is an organization of Off-Broadway producers, theatres, general managers, press agents, and marketing professionals.
