The Auburn City Council has delayed a vote to enact its 2027 budget.
By unanimous vote Thursday, the council moved the final vote on the budget proposal from June 4 to June 11.
It comes as the proposal includes an 8% property tax increase, which would go above the state cap. It also includes some staffing cuts.
According to budget documents, there is a reduction in 30 full-time and 28 part-time positions. More information on the budget can be found on the city website.
One of the pressure points of the budget is inflation, combined with revenues remaining relatively flat.
