MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Riley County police were investigating the break-in of restrooms at Blue Earth Plaza this week in Manhattan, officials said.
A report for criminal damage to property was filed around 8:16 a.m. Thursday at the downtown plaza, located in the 400 block of 3rd Street.
The City of Manhattan was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown person broke into the Blue Earth Plaza restrooms, damaging the deadbolt and lock.

The total estimated loss associated with this case is $3,200.
According to the Visit Manhattan website, Blue Earth Plaza is a “beautiful green space in downtown Manhattan … that provides fireplace, fountains, lights and music.”
It is located adjacent to Flint Hills Discovery Center, Blue Earth Place, Hilton Garden Inn and Candlewood Suites.
