Queen Letizia’s footwear game never disappoints. The Spanish royal is one of the most stylish monarchs out there, constantly challenging what it means to dress like a queen, with her Mango dresses, chunky loafers, affordable slingback heels, and bags from local designers. So, it’s always exciting to see her wardrobe change from season to season, inspiring us with her effortlessly regal looks. According to her latest, it’s espadrille season!
Today, the queen dressed like summer to attend the inauguration of the 85th edition of the Madrid Book Fair, which will run through June 14, in Madrid, Spain. Her outfit solution was simple: midi dress and wedges. And yet, she made it look so good.
Letizia wore a royal-blue midi dress with a painterly brushstroke print in cool shades of light blue and cotton-candy pink. The piece had a halter-neck top and a flowy, pleated skirt, and a string tie belt cinched it at the waist. The design is from Spanish designer Adolfo Domínguez.

As for her shoes, Letizia slipped on a classically Spanish shoe, the alpargata, or espadrille, in a light lavender canvas, natural raffia sole, and tan ribbon ties. While it’s hard to identify exactly where she got this pair, the monarch has quite the large collection of espadrilles from Spanish brands including Castañer, Toni Pons, Picón, and Macarena. (Always supporting her country!)

She rounded out her romantic, fresh look with little gold dangly earrings with little star charms, plus her signature maroon eye shadow and glossy pink lip.
