Alicia Keys is heading back to the concrete jungle! After a set of post-show encore concerts at Hell’s Kitchen at the Shubert Theatre proved to be a rousing success last month, the 15-time Grammy winner will return for an encore of her encore! Once again, Keys will be joined by members of the Hell’s Kitchen Broadway company following performances November 20-21.
As with the last encore concerts, the special performances will be available for all ticket holders at those performances. The show is also making VIP packages available, which include premium seating, a merchandise bundle, and a meet and greet with Keys.
The November 20 and 21 performance will star Amanda Reid as Ali, Jessica Vosk (Wicked) as Jersey, nine-time Grammy nominee Durrell “Tank” Babbs as Davis (Hamilton original star Christopher Jackson is currently playing the role through November 9), Phillip Johnson Richardson (The Wiz) as Knuck, and Tony winner Kecia Lewis (Ain’t Misbehavin’) as Miss Liza Jane. Vosk and Richardson will play their final performance in Hell’s Kitchen November 30.
Hell’s Kitchen features music and lyrics by Keys and a book by Kristoffer Diaz. Inspired by the recording artist’s life, the story centers on 17-year-old Ali and her mother, sharing a cramped apartment near Times Square. Ali wants to live out her NYC dream, but Jersey is scared her daughter will repeat her own mistakes. Ali is further confused when her estranged father—Davis, who is a musician—comes back into her life.
The company also currently features Angela Birchett, Chad Carstarphen, Reid Clarke, Nico DeJesus, Mykhel Duckett, Adriel Flete, Vanessa Ferguson, Lulu Oro Hamlett, Jakeim Hart, Takia Hopson, Gabriel Hyman, Lindsey Jolyn Jackson, Eliazar Jimenez, Kelsee Kimmel, Jackie Leon, Raechelle Manalo, Miki Michelle, Benjamin H. Moore, Onyxx Noel, Susan Oliveras, Amma Osei, Sarah Parker, Eric Parra, Aaron Nicholas Patterson, William Roberson, Niki Saludez, Mariand Torres, Maggy Van Den Heuvel, Nyseli Vega, Lamont Walker II, Keenan D. Washington, and Oscar Whitney Jr.
